Google Business Profile management

Ongoing care, so your listing keeps up with your business

A Google Business Profile is not a one-off job. Hours change, services change, customers leave reviews and ask questions, and details can be edited by people other than you. We keep an eye on it and keep it current, in a way agreed with you.

  • Details kept accurate as the business changes
  • Photos and updates added with your approval
  • Plain English summaries of what we have done

Signs your profile needs looking after

Management suits businesses that have a profile but not the time to keep on top of it.

  • Reviews without repliesCustomers have left reviews, good and bad, and nobody has responded.
  • Details have driftedHoliday hours were never added, a service has changed or a phone number is out of date.
  • Unexpected changesYour hours, category or address changed and you did not change them. Google and the public can suggest edits.
  • Nothing new for monthsThe photos and information are old, and the profile does not reflect the work you do now.
  • Unanswered questionsCustomers have asked questions on your profile and the answers, if any, came from strangers.

What profile management can include

We agree with you what is included and how often, so you know exactly what to expect.

Keep details current

Update hours, holiday hours, services, areas and contact details whenever the business changes.

Add genuine photos

Add recent photos of your work, premises or team that you supply or approve.

Posts and updates

Publish updates about offers, seasonal work or news, written with you and approved before they go out.

Help with reviews

Draft polite, professional replies to reviews for you to approve, including the difficult ones.

Questions and answers

Keep an eye on questions customers ask on your profile and help you answer them accurately.

Watch for unwanted edits

Check for changes suggested by Google or the public, and correct anything that is wrong.

Plain English reporting

A short summary of what we did and what the profile’s own figures show, without jargon or inflated claims.

Our approach to reviews

Reviews are only useful to customers if they are genuine. That is why we will not:

  • write reviews or ask anyone else to write them
  • offer discounts, gifts or other rewards in exchange for reviews
  • only ask customers we expect to be happy, while steering others away

We will help you ask real customers in a straightforward way, and reply to every review, positive or negative, politely and professionally.

What we will need from you

  • A link to your Google Business Profile
  • Manager access, which you grant through Google and can remove at any time
  • Anything that changes in the business, such as new services, hours or areas
  • Photos of recent work, and your approval before anything is posted in your name

Please never send passwords or login details through our forms or by email. If we need access to anything, we will agree a safe way to arrange it with you.

How assessment and quoting work

You always know what is included, and what it will cost, before any ongoing work starts.

  1. Tell us about your profile

Send a link and tell us what is working and what is not.

  2. We review it

We look at the profile as it stands and suggest what ongoing care would be worthwhile.

  3. You agree the scope and cost

We set out what is included and how often, in writing, before anything starts.

  4. We look after it

We carry out the agreed work and keep you informed, with anything posted in your name approved by you first.

Common questions

How often will you update my profile?

That is agreed with you at the start. Some businesses need little more than accurate details and prompt review replies. Others want regular photos and posts. We will recommend what makes sense for your business.

Can you get more reviews for my business?

We can help you ask your real customers for reviews in a simple, honest way. We will never write fake reviews, offer incentives for reviews or only ask customers we expect to be happy. Those practices break Google’s rules and can lead to reviews being removed or the profile being penalised.

Can you remove a bad review?

Only Google can remove a review, and only if it breaks Google’s policies. We can help you report a review that genuinely does, and help you write a calm, professional reply to one that does not.

Will management improve my position on Google Maps?

We cannot guarantee that. How Google ranks local results depends partly on how close the searcher is, which no one controls. An accurate, active and well-kept profile gives you the best chance with the searches that suit your business.

Do I have to set up the profile with you first?

No. If your profile is already set up well, we can start managing it straight away. If it needs work first, we will suggest setup and optimisation before anything else.
