Website redesign

Replace a website that is holding your business back, without losing what works

An old website is not always a bad one. But if yours is hard to use on a phone, difficult to update, slow, or simply not producing enquiries, a redesign can fix all of that at once. We rebuild it carefully, keeping the content and web addresses that still matter.

  • Existing pages reviewed before anything changes
  • Redirects from old web addresses to new pages
  • Rebuilt for phones and for enquiries

Signs it is time for a new website

One of these on its own may just need a fix. Several together usually mean a redesign is the better investment.

It is awkward on a phone

Text is tiny, buttons are fiddly or pages need zooming. Most visitors will be on a mobile, and many will simply leave.

It is hard to update

Changing a price or adding a photo means waiting for someone, or you are afraid to touch it in case it breaks.

It is slow

Pages take several seconds to appear, especially on mobile data. A speed check can show whether a fix is enough.

It does not bring enquiries

People visit but rarely get in touch, or the enquiries you get are for work you do not want.

It no longer describes the business

Services, areas, people or prices have changed, and the website is still telling the old story.

It keeps breaking

Out-of-date software, plugins that no longer work together, or security warnings that keep coming back.

What we keep, and why it matters

A redesign should not throw away the good things your current website has built up.

  • Your content, where it still works. Accurate service descriptions, genuine photos and useful answers are kept and improved rather than rewritten for the sake of it.
  • Your web addresses. We make a list of your existing pages before we start. Where a page moves or is merged, we set up a permanent redirect so visitors and search engines land in the right place instead of an error page.
  • Your domain name and email. We check how your domain and email are set up, so the switch to the new website does not interrupt email.
  • Your analytics history. Where you already have analytics or Search Console, we keep them connected so you can compare before and after.

We also check the new website for broken links before launch, and look at Search Console afterwards for any old addresses that still need redirecting.

Full package details

How a redesign works

  1. Review the current site

We look at your existing pages, content, enquiries and what is not working.

  2. Map old to new

We plan the new pages and record where each old address should point.

  3. Design and build

The new website is built alongside the old one, so nothing changes for visitors yet.

  4. Check and switch over

You approve it. We switch it live, apply the redirects and test forms and email.

  5. Follow up

We check for any missed addresses and keep the new website maintained.

Website redesign questions

Will I lose my Google rankings if I redesign?

A redesign can affect how you appear in search if old web addresses simply disappear. We list your existing pages first and set up redirects from old addresses to the right new pages, which is the most important step in protecting what you have. Nobody can guarantee rankings before or after a redesign.

Can you reuse the content from my current website?

Yes, where it is still accurate and useful. We review it with you, keep what works, and rewrite or restructure what does not.

Does a redesign have to be on a monthly package?

A redesign is a new website, so it can be built on one of the pay-monthly packages (prices plus VAT, 12-month minimum term). If it needs something outside the packages, we will quote for it separately.

Do I need a redesign, or just a repair?

If the website is broadly fine but something has stopped working, a repair is usually the better answer, and it does not need a subscription. See website support. We will tell you honestly which we think you need.

What happens to my domain name and email?

A redesign does not usually mean changing your domain name, so customers find you at the same address. If your email runs on the same domain, we check how it is set up before anything changes, so email keeps arriving during the move.
