Replacing a website that is outdated, hard to update or not bringing in enquiries.
Website design for UK businesses
Websites that explain what you do and make it easy to get in touch
A business website has a simple job. It should tell people what you do, where you do it and why they can trust you, then make contacting you effortless. We plan, design and build websites around that job, and look after them once they are live.
- Planned around your customers and the work you want
- Built to work properly on phones, tablets and desktops
- Pay-monthly plans from £100 a month plus VAT
What makes a good small-business website
Most visitors decide within moments whether they are in the right place. These are the things we focus on.
Clear at a glance
What you do and where you do it, stated plainly at the top of the page, without jargon or clever slogans getting in the way.
Works on a phone
Most people will find you on a mobile. Buttons, text and forms are designed for small screens first.
Easy to contact
A phone number, email and enquiry form that are easy to find from every page, and forms that actually deliver.
Quick to load
Sensibly sized images and clean code, so pages appear quickly even on a weak mobile signal.
Trustworthy
Real photos, genuine details about who you are, and accurate information about your registrations and experience, as you supply it.
Readable by search engines
Proper page titles, headings and structure, so search engines can understand what each page is about.
Easy to keep current
Prices, photos and opening hours change. The website should change with them without a major project.
Secure and backed up
An SSL certificate, regular updates and daily backups, so the website stays safe and recoverable.
How we plan a website
Good design starts before anything is drawn. We begin with your business, not a template.
- Who your customers are and what they need to know before they contact you.
- The work you want more of. A website can be shaped to bring in the jobs you prefer, not just any enquiry.
- The pages you need. We map out each page and what it is for, and agree the plan with you before design starts.
- How people will get in touch. Calls, forms or email, and what information you need from an enquiry to reply properly.
Once the plan is agreed, we design and build the website, test it on real devices and ask you to review it before it goes live.

Website design questions
What is the difference between this page and the pay-monthly websites page?
This page explains how we approach website design in general. The pay-monthly websites page sets out the three packages in full, including what each one costs, what it includes and the minimum term.
Do all new websites have to be on a monthly package?
Most business websites fit one of the pay-monthly packages. If yours needs something outside them, such as an online shop or a booking system linked to other software, we will talk it through and quote for it separately.
Will I be able to see the design before the website goes live?
Yes. You review the website and ask for changes before it is launched. Nothing goes live until you are happy with it.
What do I need to provide?
Information about your business, the services you offer and the areas you cover, plus your logo and any photos of your own work. We will tell you exactly what we need when we plan the pages together.
Can you help me get found on Google?
Every website we build has sound technical foundations, so search engines can read it clearly. Nobody can guarantee rankings. For local businesses, your Google Business Profile and local SEO matter too, and we can help with both.
I already have a website. Should I start again?
Not always. Sometimes a repair or a few changes are enough. See website redesign for the signs that a new website is worth it, or website support if something has simply stopped working.
