Business email help

When customers’ emails go missing, you may never know you lost the work

Email that does not arrive, bounces back or lands in junk is often caused by settings on your domain rather than the mailbox itself. We check how your email is set up, explain what we find, and agree the fix with you.

  • Domain email records checked
  • The cause explained without jargon
  • Fix and cost agreed before work starts

What is happening?

  • Emails are not arrivingCustomers say they have emailed you, but nothing turns up, not even in junk.
  • Your emails go to junkPeople only find your quotes and replies in their spam folder.
  • Messages bounce backYou or your customers get "undeliverable" or "rejected" messages.
  • Website form emails vanishThe website says the form was sent, but the email never reaches you.
  • Email stopped after a changeIt broke after moving the website, changing host or renewing the domain.
  • Mail will not work on a deviceA phone or laptop keeps asking for a password or will not send.

Is email not reaching you at all? Put a different email address in the form below, such as a personal one, so our reply is sure to reach you.

What we can investigate or fix

We look at the whole path an email takes, from your domain settings to the mailbox.

Check MX records

MX records tell the world where to deliver your email. If they point to the wrong place, mail goes missing.

SPF, DKIM and DMARC

These records prove your email really comes from you. Missing or wrong ones are a common reason for mail going to junk or being rejected.

Website form delivery

Make sure website forms send mail in a way that receiving servers accept.

Mailbox setup on devices

Help set up your email correctly on phones and computers, so sending and receiving both work.

Domain renewals

Check the domain is renewed and in your control, because an expired domain stops email immediately.

Read the bounce messages

Bounce messages usually say why mail was refused. We translate them into what needs changing.

What information we need

  • Your email address and domain name
  • What happens: missing, bouncing, junk, or a device problem
  • A copy of any bounce message, with personal details removed if you prefer
  • Who provides your email and who manages the domain, if you know
  • When it started, and anything that changed around then

Please never send passwords or login details through our forms or by email. If we need access to anything, we will agree a safe way to arrange it with you.

How assessment and quoting work

You always know what we plan to do, and what it will cost, before any work starts.

  1. Tell us what is happening

Describe what you see and when it started. Screenshots of error messages help. Please never send passwords by form or email.

  2. We assess it

We look at the problem and work out the likely cause. If we need access to anything, we agree a safe way to arrange it with you.

  3. You approve the fix

We explain what we found, what we recommend and what it will cost. Nothing is done until you agree.

  4. We fix and check

We carry out the agreed work, test it, and tell you what was done and anything to watch for.

Common questions

Can you guarantee my emails will reach the inbox?

No. Every receiving email service makes its own decisions about what goes to the inbox. Correct domain records and good sending practice give your email the best chance, and that is what we set up.

What are SPF, DKIM and DMARC in plain English?

SPF lists which servers may send email for your domain. DKIM adds a signature showing the message was not altered. DMARC tells receiving services what to do if a message fails those checks. Together they help show your email is genuine.

Do I need to change email provider?

Usually not. Most problems are fixed by correcting settings. If moving would genuinely help, we will explain why. See business email hosting.

Do you need my email password?

Please never send passwords through a form or by email. Most checks can be done without access. If access is needed for agreed work, we will agree a safe way to arrange it.

Do I need a website package to get email help?

No. Email help is a separate piece of work, assessed and quoted on its own.
